Sunday Worship Services
Our life together draws meaning and strength from what happens here on Sunday morning. Our weekly celebration of the Holy Eucharist, the holy meal of bread and wine, brings the risen Christ into our midst. All baptized Christians, regardless of denominational affiliation, are invited to receive Holy Communion at our altar.
Our liturgies at St. Luke's are drawn from the Book of Common Prayer and other resources. To view the Revised Common Lectionary (RCL) lessons for Sunday's services, please click here.
SUNDAY MORNING SCHEDULE
9:00 AM through September 5, 2010
This Eucharist includes hymns and a sermon. During the school year, church school for the younger people in our Parish begins at 10:00 AM, except on the first Sunday of each month, when the children participate in the whole worship service. On the other Sundays, the church school students join the service at the time of the offertory (before communion).
On some Sundays, when an ordained priest is not available, Morning Prayer will be conducted instead of Holy Eucharist.
To enhance our worship experience on Sunday morning St. Luke's seeks to provide a wide variety of innovative music. Our Youth Choir will, on various occasions, sing special selections. We also have guest performers, who will occasionally add their musical talents to our worship service.
Following the service people are invited to gather in the parish hall for refreshments and conversation.
